Ise Jingu (The most sacred Shrine in Japan)

Ise Jingu

Out of the 88,000 or so Shrines in Japan, one stands alone at the top. It houses the supreme Goddess of Japan, Amaterasu Omikami, whom the Imperial Family is descended from.

This journey to the eastern part of the Kii Peninsula takes you into deep Japan. We will visit the two main Shrines and then make our way to a  little town outside of the Inner Shrine where we can enjoy oysters, craft beer and local sake.

Learn about the inner workings of how the Imperial Family came about and find yourself immersed in culture, here in Ise.

Kind regards,
